Survivor

If we were on the show Survivor, Dom would be the winner. Shortly after he hit the bunk for the night, another mahi mahi struck his hand line. This was our biggest fish estimated at over 20 lbs. Chris saw the hit, I hauled it in, and Nick performed the necessary surgery with the filet knife. Dom showed Nick how to filet yesterday and I must say, for his first filet, he did a superb job. his teacher would've been proud. We had sashimi on the back of the boat and then tucked the two big filets into the refer. We are now on a fishing break as we have enough for several days.
Chris was somewhat skeptical at the start of the trip regarding catching fish and for a good reason. The crew he had two years ago traveling out to Hawaii had gear, but did not catch anything. So, way to go Dominick! Thanks for bringing the fishing gear and sharing your knowledge and skills. You have my vote for the Orisha Crew Survivor!
