July 14 1538(L)/2338(Z); 4733N/14059W; 650NM to the straits and then another 85NM to Deception Pass. We made 117NM to the good yesterday. Cold is getting colder. The boat is getting smaller.
Nick treated us all to blackened tuna last night. It wasrestaurant quality superb! He is the master chef, though Dom is a close 2nd. I pitched in this morning with cinnamon oatmeal pancakes with walnuts and raisins for breakfast. We've got our own bed and breakfast thing going. It is just a little too far out of the way for most folks. Before I left for Maui my brother Thor commented sarcastically "CAL, what are you going to blog about? I got up, felt some wind, went sailing. There was water
everywhere." I hate to disappoint the elder. Well Thor, this blog's for you. Today I got up, felt some wind, went sailing.
There was water everywhere.
